Man oh man! Do we have a special pair right here to talk about today! The 247 NXT from EQLZ has been nothing but awesome on court. Ready to find out why?? Let's jump straight in and talk about these!

What's up everyone?? AirJayP is back, and I hope everyone is doing well! I have been at this performance review thing for a while now, and it is something I just enjoy to do! If you have an IG account give me a follow over there as well for all things hoops and sneakers! My account name is airjayp11. Now back to the 247 NXT!

Keep in mind, I played in the high tops, and loved them as well. A lot of similarities, but just in a low form with this model. That is definitely not a bad thing either.

Traction: 5/5

The traction was nothing short of superb! There were no issue with the high top pair, and their is definitely no issues with these either. The sneaker features a fairly soft rubber outsole, and has that EQLZ sharkskin inspired outsole look that grips the floor like crazy! There were absolutely no issues laterally or vertically, and these gave me everything I was looking for from a traction standpoint. Whether you are making a quick cut, stopping on a dime for a pull up, or any other movement you are covered and good to go with these! I loved the traction on the highs, and these are no different. Job well done EQLZ. Keep bringing this traction setup, because it is something special!

Fit: 5/5

(My true to size for basketball shoes is half down)

I went with my true to size, and these gave me the exact feel I was looking for. They were snug, but in the way I am looking for with my basketball sneakers. A true 1:1 fit, and no extra length or width really. They felt nice from a fit standpoint, and this helped in other aspects especially the lockdown.

Aesthetics: 5/5

I absolutely love the look of these, and the look down test on foot is definitely passed with these. I dont think they could have done any better job of meshing these basically from the highs to the lows. With this specific cw, you get a mismatch set. One shoe is orange, while the other is blue. This is the Nate Robinson collab, and commemorates the NY Knicks. Now we all know I am a Knicks fan, so when I saw this cw.. Yeah, these had to be the ones! I also love mismatch pairs on court, so these sold me right out of the gate from initial images. All of the other cw's have been solid as well. You cannot go wrong from a "looks" standpoint with these.

Cushion: 5/5

Once again another perfect score here. These do feel almost identical to the highs, so if you played in them and liked them expect these to have no different really of a "feel" other than they are a lowtop. The sneaker features EQLZ's PEBAX Supercritical Cushion Technology, and man as I mentioned, I love this setup. You get a comfortable plush feel, but also plenty of court feel, and add in that low top/low to the ground feel, and we have something special right here. I have played in these my last several times out, and I do not know what my actual favorite aspect of the sneakers are, but I will tell you the cushion may just be my favorite part. No issues from a cushion standpoint, and it truly is nearly the absolute perfect setup from a feel standpoint for me. This is the type of feel I always mention I am looking for within my reviews.

Lockdown: 5/5

These just haven't missed.. Yeah, you read that right another 5/5. Now initially I am thinking ok, how will I like these in a low top form? The highs, from a material standpoint, I was a little worried initially that they wouldn't work well, and they passed that test. The lows, I just had thought maybe coming off of a severe ankle injury that I may be done with lows for a bit. These definietely changed my mind from that! Once the sneaker was on, and laced up I had a great locked in feel from heel to toe. No complaints there, and that goes back to the fit as well. The shoe offers a fairly large outrigger in my opinion that definitely helped me a ton with the lower top type shoe. They also offer TPU lateral containment on both sides which definitely keeps you locked in at all times with any type of momvement on court. As mentioned previously, I was coming off of an ankle injury, and it was in a pair of lows. I was so hesitant, but let me assure you with these you have no worries to be thought of from a lockdown standpoint!

Materials: 5/5

Well, mise well just go ahead and say yeah, the materials worked awesome for me as well! They are lightweight, breathable, and feel nice on foot as well. The tongue has a nice padded feel, maybe a little thin, but still feels nice on foot as well. The inner linning also has a nice feel on foot, and once again I just have no complaints from this aspect either.

Overall: 5/5

We are very early into 2026, but let me tell you, we have a contender for my favorite hoop shoe of 2026 already. I know we have a ton of time to go, and basically every signature sneaker to release for next season, but these are that good. I was actually testing three pairs at once for review, and since playing in these I have soley been playing in these. They are definitely my go-to at the moment. I loved the cushion, traction, lockdown, and everything else about these as well. Everything works hand in hand, and just fits together. If I were still playing competively, and needed/wanted one pair for the season, these would be them for me at the moment. Say no more, say no less, these are special and will be in my bag for a long time to come. Looking for a seriously good hoop shoe?? Give these a try!
