Jordan 34 Performance Review

Nike & Jordan Brand Have Brought Out Some Amazing Basketball Sneakers This Year Thus Far, But Where Will The 34s Land With All This Heat!

Whats going on everyone, its Airjayp back with a brand new review for you guys and today we are going to be taking a look at the Jordan 34s! This obviously is going to be a performance review and I don’t want to make this a comparison between other models, but Jordan brand did these right!

Materials: A

They used very light weight materials which is actually a key point on the 34s. This is one of if not the lightest Air Jordan models to date. They basically wanted to take un-needed materials off of the the shoe to give it a lighter feel and overall a better performing shoe. I don’t know the exact name they are using for the material but its very thin around the toe area and upper with some synthetic suede or nubuck around the ankle or collar area. When I got these in hand I was a little worried about the materials being so thin in the toe box, but after just the first time out in them I loved the materials and they work very well! Your not offered premium leathers or anything with these, but your are offered a lightweight material that works, and works very well on the court! That is why the materials get an A from me!

Lockdown: A

The Jordan 34 offered great containment or lockdown for me on the court. I actually really liked how my foot feels while playing in them. Its almost like a super lockdown feel but your laces aren’t necessarily all that tight. Your probably thinking at this point that the shoe has a tight fit, but it doesn’t have that either. For me its like the shoe fits my foot almost exactly perfect! Your probably also wondering with the materials being so light how is the lockdown so well? There is a Nice heel counter in the back that keeps your foot in place comfortably and I never noticed myself really moving around in any unwanted way while testing these. Overall from a lockdown perspective this shoe doesn’t disappoint in that category whatsoever!

Traction: A+

Holy Herringbone! The traction on these bad boys performed amazing for me. I remember specifically I did not like the traction on the 33s due to an issue in the toe area sliding out in under me. There is no issue whatsoever in these 34s, and honestly it may be my favorite traction setup of any shoe I have played in this year, or in a long time, period. Dusty or clean courts I had no issues whatsoever and I never noticed myself having to wipe the bottoms either. I will say this, right out of the box the traction performed well, but after some break in time it performed amazing. I actually just got done playing for about another 3 hours in these and it was the best day I have had in them yet. If your looking for some great traction in a basketball shoe this will be a pair you definitely wanna check out!

Cushion: A+

We have an entirely new setup on the 34s and oh man does it work well! They basically took the flight plate system and made it a lot better. They made the system lighter, but with also including the forefoot zoom air the shoe feels very comfortable on foot even casually if you wanted to just wear them that way. The initial goal was to basically make the eclipse plate light, and where athletes could have more explosion thru the forefoot to get there jumps in quicker than maybe in another pair of sneakers. One of my favorite parts about the cushion is that its comfortable and gives impact protection, but you also have a decent amount of court feel and almost near perfect for my liking. With the game changing and adapting as much as it has into a much quicker pace it can be essential to have a great shoe on your foot to let you perform at your highest level. The Jordan 34 with the new tech in the cushion category gives you just that and will also leave your feet not hurting as bad after your done playing as well, so thats a definite plus either way! On a serious note I love the cushion setup in these 34s and its definitely the best Jordan model setup I remember in quite some time.

Overall: A+

I truthfully have no complaints about this shoe whatsoever. I have had a ton of fun playing in these. Its actually going to be tough for me to want to test any other shoe after playing in these because I have had a blast playing in them! I have been carrying around the Jordan 29s for a bit as they were my go to pair when I needed to turn it up a notch. I can officially say they will be retired for the moment and these will be my extra pair in my bag at all times just in case the pair I’m testing isn’t working out! Overall I love the Jordan 34s and I hope you do too!!

Thanks A Lot For Checking Out This Performance Review On The Jordan 34! I Hope You Enjoyed It And Have A Great Rest Of Your Week!

Oh Yeah As Always Happy Hooping!!
