Are we really on the 12th signature sneaker of the greatest shooter of all time? Either I am getting old or the guys I have watched their entire career's are... or maybe a little of both!

Enough with the jokes! Today we are going to be talking about the 12th signature sneaker from Curry brand, and the Curry line. Will playing in these automatically increase your three point percentage? It is possible, but either way I've had a lot of fun playing in these! Let's jump right in and find out how these performed on court!

Fit: 4

I went with my standard down half hoop shoe sizing which is an 11. I had no issues, and was very happy with the fit I got. Had I went true to size they most likely would have fit long for me or defintiely longer than what I would be looking for. They also felt great within the width category as well. Wide footers should be good here as well. If you have played in any Curry models in the past, I would go with your regular sizing in them. These feel a lot like previous Curry models in my opinion on foot. If you liked how they felt before, I definitely think you will like these as well.

Traction: 4

The outsole featured here is what we have come to know from Curry brand and what has been used for quite a while now with the "Flow'' technology. These do mimic almost every Curry model I have ever played in, and hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it! The setup feels very tacky on court, and grips the floor very well basically in all conditions from my experience. If the court is very dusty or just terrible conditions then you may get some sliding, but overall I was covered at all times. I even did some testing in these outdoors and they worked very well, and possibly even better on the asphalt! I wouldnt' reccomend these for the long haul outdoors though as the durability/traction pattern will wear off fairly quickly. These offered me no issues laterally or vertically, and I absolutely loved how I was able to cut, stop on a dime, and get to my spots with ease in these! If you have liked Curry models in the past traction wise, just know you will thoroughly enjoy these as well!

Materials: 4

The materials on the Curry 12 I really, really liked. No, we arent talking premium old school leathers or anything, but we are talking comfort and lightweight. The engineered mesh upper is very breathable and feels super comfortable on foot. The materials are very soft to the touch, and offer a very nice feel at all times on court. The tongue is somewhat thin, but does have padded areas within that feel very nice on foot as well. The sock-liner within is also soft and offers comfort from within at all times. After breaking the sneaker in the materials seem to feel better and better each time out as well. Job well done by Curry brand on these. I love the comfort these gave me from a material standpoint on court.

Cushion: 4

I am being super picky here by giving these a 4 instead of a 5, but I do believe the cushion setup over time has become my favorite part of this sneaker. Right out of the box, they felt fairly well, but once breaking them in, and getting used to them they truly keep getting better each time out. You get a great mix of court feel and cushion with these. Once again with "Flow' technology being the cushion setup here, you are getting a feel like past Curry models. One thing though, I think these feel better! This is a setup I could use over and over again because it has a plush feel that is super comfortable, but I am also getting a decent amount of court feel that I am always looking for. Over the long haul, these feel really good for long periods of time playing. I was also very surprised that the responsiveness was as good as it was with the plush feeling that these give. They definitely have some bounce to them. So, you ask why the 4 and not a 5? As mentioned before I am being super picky here, but I almost got too much of a plush feel. Had they been a little less plush and offered a little more court feel I could give them a true 5. Most will actually prefer the feel these give, but it is all a personal preference here.

Lockdown: 4

The Curry 12 once again succeeded for me from a lockdown standpoint. These actually surprised me with the lockdown. Not that I thought it would be bad, but they just exceeded all expectations. Once inside you have a nice stable feel within the heel and no movement within. With the traditional style lacing, you are able to get these laced up to your liking giving you a nice locked-in feel from heel to toe. When we are talking on court performance while cutting, sudden stops, etc. I didn't have any movement and I felt locked in and safe at all times on court. The heel offers a molded TPU heel counter, along with a forefoot plate and midfoot shank that offers great stability on court. Whether I was moving laterally, or vertically I had no issues lockdown wise and I was thoroughly happy with these.

Overall: 4

I have had tons of fun playing in and testing out the Curry 12's on court. As I mentioned previously they do have a lot of "feel" and similarities to previous models especially some of the latest or most recent models, but I truly do like these more than others I have played in. They did take a little bit of break in time, but after getting that done and getting used to the feel of them on court I really liked them. As you can tell from the ratings, basically every category was to my liking. I have always liked the traction setup you get with "Flow" and that was no different here. The materials, even though many sneakers these days have a mesh upper, I just really liked how comfortable and light these were on court. The cushion surprised me on almost all aspects as I got court feel, a plush ride, but also responsiveness/bounce that I just wasn't expecting from such a plush feel on foot. Last but not least, dont forget the solid lockdown setup. You are really covered all around in these and if you are a Curry fan or are just looking for a very fun basketball shoe.. You need to try these out!!
